Abu Dhabi Development: A Cool City?
* Visit http://www.tdic.ae/Default.aspx.
* Which development do you think is the coolest (most interesting)? Choose one project and do your own research on it’s positive and negative impact.
* Write a blog post about the planned development by TDIC. How green do you think these developments will be? What is your opinion of these developments? Will they make Abu Dhabi a 'cool city' or do you think they will cause problems? Add photos and links to your blog.
* Watch the Youtube video about Saadiyat Island, Yas island or Al Raha beach and embed it in your blog
Task Requirements:
Students should post a 150 to 250 word report about the TDIC development you are interested in learning more about. Include in your blog:
- a discussion of the energy saving features
- a description of missing energy saving features which could be added
- planned features that are likely to add to rather than reduce greenhouse emissions
- your opinion on the overall green credibility of the development - give a 'green mark' of A, B, C, D or F for the proposed development
